Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to dust and wash walls and windows. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to pick up litter and trash working at this post. 
  • They’re also appointed to travel to various outdoor sites with some exposure to weather elements. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to be exposed to noxious odours from cleaning products. 
  • Candidates are appointed to regularly clean and provide minor maintenance to washroom buildings and other facilities. 
  • Candidates working in this post will have to occasionally demonstrate tasks to others. 

Job requirement 

  • Candidates working at this post are appointed to a high school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience in the field related to the position to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have experience in providing cleaning services in facilities such as commercial or institutional environments, other facilities may be considered.
  • Candidates must attain knowledge of how to apply health and safety procedures at the work site.
  • Candidates must attain the ability to identify hazards and potential hazards and take action to ensure a safe environment. 
  • Candidates must have medium physical effort to lift 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Candidates must be able to travel to various outdoor sites with some exposure to weather elements. 
  • Candidates must ensure the willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment. 
  • They must ensure the willingness to use safe work practices to be eligible for this post. 

Work setting 

  • Candidates must attain the ability to deal with situations and issues proactively, to identify problems and the solutions to them.
