Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will inspect, identify faults, repair, and service Tesla vehicles while working with one of the world’s leading EV builders. You’ll also partner with engineering teams, get ongoing training, and contribute to a great service experience for Tesla customers.  

You have got to work with other people in a fast-paced service environment, turnaround times can feel intense, so everyone depends on each other for parts, notes, and the next steps that come after.

Salary: Service Technician I: $23.10 – $34.65/hour | Service Technician II: $26.80 – $40.19/hour | Service Technician III: $31.42 – $47.12/hour + cash and stock awards

Job Description

  • Run diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Tesla vehicles.  
  • Manage high-voltage repair tasks after you complete the necessary training.  
  • Record repair activities properly and keep service documentation up to date.
  • Keep an eye on tool performance too, like yes inspect and maintain workshop tools and equipment regularly. Because if something is even slightly off, it tends to show up later, not right away, you know.
  • You’ll also be involved in vehicle cleaning and detailing when it’s required, though sometimes it is not just cosmetic.
  • You can help reveal issues that you might not notice otherwise.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair Tesla vehicles efficiently , with clear reasoning steps and careful checks, not just swapping parts and hoping.
  • Follow Tesla service procedures and safety standards exactly, especially when you’re dealing with high-voltage areas, no shortcuts.
  • Coordinate with technicians and engineering teams to escalate anything that looks systemic or keeps repeating.
  • Inspect workshop equipment and flag maintenance needs early, before tools fail or contaminate the workflow.

Requirements

  • Automotive Service Technician License, or willingness to become a certified apprentice (basically, be ready to complete the steps on time).
  • Valid Canadian Class 5 , G, or G2 driver’s license.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
