Job Description

• The candidate will be in charge of performing routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanic work.
• The candidate will be expected to test and adjust repaired systems in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate will be required to adjust, repair, or replace commercial transport truck system parts and components.
• The candidate will be required to adjust, repair, or replace truck-trailer system parts and components.
• The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• The candidate will be in charge of performing performance tests on all systems and equipment.
• The candidate will be in charge of assembling and disassembling vehicle engines as well as cleaning fuel tanks.
• The candidate will be expected to keep equipment and tools in good working order.
• The candidate will be required to complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• The candidate will be required to test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must estimate the costs of parts and labour.
