Job Description
- Candidates will have to carry out the duties of a sworn Special Constable and Peace Officer, Provincial Offences Officer, agent and occupier of the TTC in accordance.
- They are appointed for federal and Provincial statutes, Municipal By-laws and established contracts, agreements, policies and procedures.
- Candidates are responsible for treating passengers and employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers and employees with disabilities are accommodated following the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders.
- They’re appointed to promote and maintain positive customer relations and communications with the public and TTC employees.
Job requirement
- Candidates must demonstrate experience dealing with diverse and vulnerable communities.
- They must attain a demonstrated ability to de-escalate situations of a contentious nature.
- Candidates must attain the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Candidates must attain strong and effective interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Work setting
- They must attain comprehensive knowledge of law enforcement and security operations.
