Job Description
- The candidate will define platform architecture and infrastructure standards for enterprise-scale device management, device policies, cloud platforms, and compute, storage, and networking abstractions across the organization.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading complex cross-functional initiatives with limited supervision while making independent technical decisions in fast-changing environments.
- The candidate will be responsible for establishing CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and delivery tooling strategies to support standardized workflows and deployment practices.
- The candidate will be responsible for designing enterprise-scale self-service platform capabilities that allow engineers to provision infrastructure and deploy services independently.
- The candidate will be responsible for establishing observability platform architecture and organizational standards for logging infrastructure, metrics collection frameworks, distributed tracing, alerting platforms, and operational dashboards.
- The candidate will be responsible for establishing testing and validation approaches, including infrastructure testing frameworks, disaster recovery programs, chaos engineering practices, and resilience testing across all platforms.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading the resolution of complex platform incidents that require advanced technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.
- The candidate will be responsible for designing cloud infrastructure strategies that balance multi-cloud operations, security requirements, cost optimization, and engineering productivity.
- The selected candidate must lead large-scale reliability initiatives focused on system analysis, operational efficiency, and platform performance enhancements.
- The candidate will be responsible for mentoring senior platform engineers on infrastructure architecture, system design, and technical leadership practices.
- The candidate will be responsible for establishing domain platform engineering best practices and operational standards across the organization.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or have equivalent industry experience.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree will be given preference.
- The candidate must have 9–12 years of experience defining platform strategy, establishing technical standards, and driving organization-wide infrastructure decisions, or equivalent experience. Most of this experience should involve cloud-based services and device management tools such as Intune, JAMF, MS Defender, Active Directory, EntraId, and PKI infrastructure.
- The candidate should have experience with non end-user device management, including IoT, AVD, cameras, distribution centre equipment, and similar technologies, which would be considered highly desirable.
- Relevant industry experience is preferred, including prior experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses.
- The candidate must possess deep experience and strong architectural understanding of compute, networking, storage, and database components within major cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud.
- The candidate must be able to design solutions for specific security threat models and demonstrate knowledge of basic and advanced security and compliance aspects of device management.
- The candidate should have experience leading platform consolidation, device management expansion, automation initiatives, AI adoption, and Infrastructure as Code practices, which would be highly desirable.
- The candidate must be familiar with ITIL processes.
- The candidate should have experience working with ServiceNow, Jira, MS Office Suite, and MS O365. TOGAF or other relevant certifications would be highly desirable.
- The candidate should have experience working with agile delivery frameworks, which would be considered an advantage.
