Job Description
- The candidate must define and evolve global network and backbone architectures.
- The candidate must serve as a technical authority and escalation point for complex network issues.

- The candidate must own the architecture and long-term evolution of enterprise and global network platforms.
- The candidate must design and guide the implementation of backbone routing, WAN, and cloud-integrated solutions.
- The candidate must establish network standards, patterns, and guardrails across teams.
- The candidate must influence prioritization by clearly articulating technical trade-offs.
- The candidate must lead cross-functional efforts with security, cloud, and application teams.

Job Requirements
- The candidate must have 6+ years of enterprise network engineering experience supporting large-scale environments.
- The candidate must have proven experience designing and operating backbone and WAN infrastructures.
- The candidate must have deep expertise in routing and traffic engineering (BGP, OSPF).
- The candidate must have experience defining network architecture and influencing technical strategy.
- The candidate must have ability to lead initiatives through technical influence and prioritization.
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of high-availability and resiliency design principles.
- The candidate must have enterprise and platform experience.
- The candidate must have expertise in hybrid enterprise networking spanning on-premises, data center, cloud, and SaaS connectivity models.
- The candidate must have strong experience in network security architecture, including segmentation, VPN technologies, zero-trust principles, and integration with security platforms such as Palo Alto and Zscaler.
- The candidate must have practical experience with cloud networking constructs, including VPC/VNet design, routing, transit, and connectivity patterns.
- The candidate must have working knowledge of network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code, using tools such as Python, Terraform, or CloudFormation to improve consistency and operational efficiency.
- The candidate must have experience with network observability and operational tooling, using telemetry and metrics to guide design decisions and improve MTTR.
- The candidate must lead through influence without direct people management.
- The candidate must mentor engineers on architecture and operational excellence.
- The candidate must communicate technical trade-offs clearly to leadership and peers.
- The candidate must have authorization to work in Canada for this role.
