Job Description

  • Investment Advisor is a full time sales and advisory position with RBC Dominion Securities.
  • The role helps clients with wealth planning and investment guidance.
  • The position is part of the Wealth Management platform.
  • The role offers a commission based pay structure with a starting base salary.
  • The position provides flexibility to build and manage your own business within the RBC brand.
  • The routine work week is 37.5 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow a client base of high net worth individuals, families and business owners.
  • Manage clients’ financial needs through tailored investment plans.
  • Create customized portfolios and wealth plans using company resources.
  • Build long term relationships through personalized financial advice.
  • Work with RBC partners to support clients across different financial needs.
  • Provide financial planning and investment guidance that supports client goals.

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of work background in outbound sales is required.
  • Can work with a 100 percent commission pay structure.
  • Complete the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) and the Retail Securities
  • Exam (RSE) before the start date.
  • Strong interest in financial planning and portfolio management is required.
  • Strong relationship building and interaction skills are required.
  • Can work with people from different backgrounds and build lasting relationships.
  • Work background in direct marketing, financial services, high value sales or business development is preferred.
  • Completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.
