The land component of the Canadian Armed Forces is the Canadian Army. We train and supply troops to protect and defend Canada. The Canadian Army is in charge of the operational readiness of the Canadian Armed Forces’ conventional ground forces.

The Royal Canadian Navy is Canada’s naval force. The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) is one of three environmental commands in the Canadian Armed Forces. The RCN has 12 frigates, four attack submarines, 12 coastal defence vessels, eight patrol class training vessels, one offshore patrol vessel, and several auxiliary vessels as of 2021. The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) is a branch of the Canadian Armed Forces. It defends and protects Canadian and North American airspace in collaboration with the US. The RCAF also helps to maintain international peace and security. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to operate testing equipment in order to maintain product quality.
  • The candidate must install, maintain, and service equipment.
  • The candidate must design, develop, and test power equipment and systems.
  • The candidate will be expected to inspect products for visual flaws as well as faulty electrical and mechanical connections.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components.
  • The candidate must collect and compile operational or experimental data.
  • The candidate will be required to troubleshoot, repair, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electronic systems using schematic and wiring/circuitry diagrams.
  • As a troubleshooting aid, the candidate will be required to use a variety of computer programmes and technical manuals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assigning maintenance tasks and ensuring that they are completed on time.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coordinating submarine sonar and the underwater fire control interface.
  • The candidate will be in charge of ensuring that the equipment has been properly restored to operational condition.
  • The candidate will be required to handle towed arrays and evolve expendable bathythermographs.
  • The candidate must perform minor maintenance on and operate mainframe sonar systems, depth sounding equipment, and other auxiliary equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to write reports outlining the tests that were run, the results that were analysed, the progress that was made, the remaining work that needed to be done, the issues that were encountered, and the recommendations for change.
  • The candidate will be expected to build and wire test boxes to support testing and qualification activities.
