Job Description
- Candidates are appointed to develop the corporate Asset Management strategy for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and facilities.
- They’re also responsible for managing total project delivery for capital works with a focus on condition assessment.
- Candidates will have to manage renewal or rehabilitation projects of facilities, linear networks, or physical infrastructure assets.
- Candidates are appointed to provide technical expertise and knowledge of the operational needs of the departmental clients through all phases of project delivery.
Job requirement
- They must attain the completion of a 4-year university degree in Engineering or Applied Science specializing in one of the following.
- Candidates must be able to provide mentoring and direction to others in project management processes.
- They’re also appointed to demonstrate assertiveness and strong oral/written communication skills with the ability to apply tactful facilitation, negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Candidates must possess strong documentation, report writing and presentation skills.
- They must attain the ability to foster trust and cooperation to lead/manage activities between technical staff, consultants, contractors, other levels of government, and the general public.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain the ability to manage concurrent complex, high dollar value and often highly sensitive projects and bring projects to completion on time and within budget.
