Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for serving as a key partner in the Asset Protection annual budget process, including building the budget from the ground up and partnering with Finance throughout the MBR cycle.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing ongoing budget requests, exceptions, and changes throughout the fiscal year while ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and alignment with department priorities.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring departmental spending against approved budgets, identifying variances, and providing regular reports and analysis to Asset Protection leadership and Finance.
- The candidate must monitor budgets, accruals, and financial forecasts while communicating potential financial risks and additional spending needs.
- The candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering budget management training that equips field managers and team leads with the knowledge and tools to effectively manage guard and travel budgets.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating billing management guidelines and policies, including coordinating periodic updates and department-wide implementation through Billing Operations.
- The candidate will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and approving external vendor invoices in accordance with the company’s outside counsel guidelines and billing protocols.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing the eBilling platform for team billing operations and serving as the primary point of contact for outside counsel billing inquiries and disputes.
- The candidate will be responsible for identifying billing discrepancies, rate deviations, and non-compliant charges and driving their timely resolution.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining billing procedures, process documentation, and internal controls.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting Asset Protection Operations initiatives, including vendor management, outside rate negotiations, and technology improvements.
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely payment processing.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have at least 3 years of billing experience.
- The candidate must have proven experience leading or contributing to an annual budget process and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning cycle.
- The candidate must have experience using eBilling platforms such as Coupa, TeamConnect, BrightFlag, Legal Tracker, or similar systems.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar applications.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The candidate must possess strong communication skills and be comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with Finance.
- The candidate must acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.
