- Requires making essential decisions regarding data required by AI systems and how to acquire it from games and platforms.
- Involves designing systems that convert acquired data into intelligent interactions.
- The position is platform-oriented. Candidate’s efforts will facilitate AI functionalities across various experiences and teams.
Responsibilities
- Define what the game’s AI needs to know to understand players, personalize the experience, and react in real-time.
- Identify and integrate appropriate signals from sources like Xbox platform, game events, player interactions, and other telemetry systems.
- Enable personalized and context-aware AI capabilities.
- Build and own the roadmap for datasets that adapt to player behavior and preferences.
- Guide the team through technical tradeoffs around storage and pipelines to support a variety of AI workloads.
- Partner with engineering to design systems that balance real-time telemetry signals with processed, aggregate insights optimizing for latency, reliability and cost.
- Drive experimentation frameworks that validate new features.
- Drive cross-organizational collaborations with mutual dependencies.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in AI tooling, model grounding techniques, and ML infrastructure. Inform platform evolution.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience managing products, services and programs or software development, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building platforms or developer-oriented products.
- Experience working with data platforms, real-time systems or ML infrastructure.
- Experience in the gaming industry (building or shipping games, services, or platforms).
- Preferred Qualifications.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully shipping platform products that arm teams/products to take advantage of them.
- Technical depth when it comes to systems design, data architecture and pipeline engineering.
- Ability to build ML-powered features or work in direct collaboration with ML teams.
- Experience with existing ML tooling and LLM methodologies.
- Experience with game analytics, telemetry systems, or live operations.
- Experience of working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
