Job description

  • Sort, collect and deliver mail in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of local roads, delivery points and customers
  • Ensure all mail items are secure while in transit
  • Process postal services such as address changes and damaged mail
  • Wear and display identification while delivering and collecting mail
  • Be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lb

Job requirements

  • Valid permanent provincial driver’s licence Class 5 or G with a safe driving record
  • Ability to operate a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 22.7 kg
  • Must meet vehicle requirements including cargo capacity, automatic transmission, power windows and other listed specifications
  • Must maintain required vehicle insurance and inform insurer about work usage
  • Ability to read, write and speak French
