Retail Store Supervisor

Shell based in Spruce Grove, AB, is looking for Retail Store Supervisor with 1 vacancy. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work as soon as possible. Shell has an approved Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill skills shortages and labor shortages on a temporary basis. Job description

  • The candidate will required to sell merchandise.
  • The candidate will required to prepare reports on sales volumes.
  • The candidate will required to prepare reports on merchandising.
  • The candidate will required to prepare reports on personnel matters.
  • The candidate will required to authorize return of merchandise.
  • The candidate will required to assign sales workers to duties.
  • The candidate will required to resolve problems that arise.
  • The candidate will required to resolve customer complaints.
  • The candidate will required to resolve supply shortages.
  • The candidate will required to supervise activities of workers.
  • The candidate will required to co-ordinate activities of workers.
  • The candidate will required to organize the inventory.
  • The candidate will required to maintain inventory.
  • The candidate will required to establish work schedules.
  • The candidate will required to hire staff.
  • The candidate will required to train staff.
  • The candidate will required to arrange for training of staff.
  • The Work Setting is a Retail business.
  • The candidate will required to supervise retail salespersons.

Requirements

  • The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • The candidate should have equivalent experience in the concerned field.
  • The candidate should have a minimum experience of seven months to less than one year in the concerned field.
  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
  • The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks.
  • The tasks will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The candidate should know English.
  • The candidate should be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • The candidate should be able to work with handling heavy loads.
  • The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail.
  • The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking  and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The work will involve a lot of standing for extended periods and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The candidate should have the ability to supervise staff in various areas of responsibility.
