Job Description
- The candidate must plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
- The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have an AZ class license and a Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
- The candidate should be organized and flexible.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work setting
- The candidate must work in multiple locations to support employees stationed at different worksites.
Experience and specialization
Communication systems experience
- The candidate must have experience in operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, as well as a trip recorder (on-board computer).

- The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
