Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned disability claims from start to finish.
  • Review medical information and job duties to assess disability claims.
  • Investigate claim details by speaking with applicants, employers, physicians and other medical professionals.
  • Respond to claim related inquiries by phone or in writing.
  • Make informed decisions using available claim information.
  • Develop and manage return to work plans with employers.
  • Carry out health care coordination and rehabilitation activities that support employment goals.

Requirements

  • Work background or training in health and wellness, disability insurance, life or health insurance, injury claims or customer service is required.
  • Strong interaction skills and listening skills are required for a client facing role.
  • Strong planning and time managing are required.
  • Can work independently and in a team.
  • Skilled in using new programs and systems.
  • Can adapt to changing technology.
  • A Reliability Status security clearance is required before working with Protected B information, assets or work sites.
