Job Description

  • The candidate will have to feed inventory.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for animal health monitoring.
  • The candidate will be expected to help develop and implement farm safety and bio-security procedures.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, livestock spraying or shearing, and disinfecting pens, barns, or poultry houses.
  • The candidate will be expected to coordinate and supervise general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
  • The candidate must be able to recognise and treat certain livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be expected to carry out general farm duties.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

  • The candidate will be required to work in the Broiler and other meat-type chicken production areas.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The work environment consists of livestock.
  • The candidate must work in the poultry and egg production areas.

Work Setting

  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
  • Accommodation facilities are available to the candidate.
