Lifeguard
Parks Canada is inviting all the candidates to show their interest in this post of lifeguard. They’re looking for candidates who can fulfil all the requirements of the post. Working at this post they’re required to provide lifeguard services and related reception, information, cashier and janitorial services to guests in pools, to contribute to visitor use and enjoyment in a safe, secure environment. Job requirement
- Candidates must have successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- They must have a valid Canadian National Lifeguard Service Certification or International Life Saving Federation Pool Lifeguard equivalent certification to be eligible for this post.
- They’re also appointed to provide information and service to the public to be eligible for this post.
- They must have to maintain point-of-sale equipment operation, cash handling, and balancing daily sales to be eligible for this post.
- They must maintain the ability to clean washrooms and facilities in a commercial setting to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated experience in Canadian Rockies hot springs facilities, Banff, Yoho & Kootenay National Parks and surrounding areas to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must be able to ensure Cash handling practices to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have dedicated health & safety practices, including safe cleaning practices to be eligible for this post.
- They must provide service excellence to internal and/or external clients to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must analyse and synthesise information to understand issues, identify options, and support sound decision-making to be eligible for this post.
- They must ensure the willingness to wear identifier clothing and personal safety equipment to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must ensure their willingness to work shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime and outdoors in various weather conditions to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance to be eligible for this post.
- They must have possession and maintenance of occupational certifications to be eligible for this post.
