Lead Project Engineer

As gaming technology continues its evolution, studios are facing greater demands in areas such as engine optimization, workflows, and hybrid and remote development support. Addressing these issues is necessary to maintain a standard of high-quality production and partner with various organizations. These organisations may operate in a distributed model around the globe while peak development cycles are underway.

Coalition Studio has a dedicated history of working in the Gears of War franchise of games and evolving engine innovation as part of its effort to build tools. All game development studios at Xbox Game Studios benefit from these tools. Coalition Studio is also consistently focused on building reliable, scalable, and high-performance development practices.

In this context, the Lead Project Engineer role will focus on generalizing tools and workflow in a way that is usable at several studios to facilitate broader adoption throughout the Xbox Games Technology Group (XGTG). A strong knowledge of C++ and previous experience with Unreal Engine and Perforce are two other key technical aspects that should be kept in mind for the role.

In addition, the Lead Project Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance of internal projects. Much of the Lead Project Engineer’s experience and knowledge will be centered on visual rendering, rendering systems, audio, gameplay, and animation.
