Job Description

The candidate would be responsible for sorting, piling and transporting wood products.
The candidate must remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
The candidate will be required to load chips, sulphur, and processing materials.
The candidate will be expected to assist other processing workers.
The candidate must feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.
The candidate will be required to transport processed wood products, such as plywood, chipboard sheets and panels to work areas
The candidate will be required to assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders, and barrels.
The candidate would be responsible for checking and maintaining equipment
The candidate will be expected to test equipment in order to locate transmission faults.
The candidate will be required to clean the work areas and equipment
The candidate would be responsible for packing and wrapping timber for delivery
The candidate will be required to record timber sizes and grades and the amount of timber in the yard
The candidate will be required to trim timber pieces to a standard length.
The candidate will be expected to guide log position on carriage to ensure precise and standard cutting.
The candidate would be responsible for clearing blockages in machines
The candidate would be responsible for packing and loading finished products for transportation
The candidate will be required to operate sawmill machinery, log loaders and forklifts.
The candidate will be required to collect leftovers and wood chips for further processing.
The candidate must position and align logs on a belt.
The candidate must keep an accurate record of job operations as well as an up-to-date inventory.
The candidate will be expected to ensure proper waste disposal after job operations are completed.

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Previous experience is not mandatory.
