Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to design and write robust, extensible, high-quality code that meets business, technical and quality requirements.
- They’re also appointed to ensure that code is written individually and in collaboration with other Developers during the development of WestJet’s mobile apps in addition to conforming to WestJet’s coding standards and style guidelines.
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to ensure that the code is fully unit-tested in an automated framework.
- They’re appointed to develop test automation code in collaboration with other team members.
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to implement and design CI/CD pipelines to automate the delivery of our mobile apps.
- Candidates working in this post are required to keep up to date on industry standard practices and frameworks for mobile app development.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a dedicated bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and dedicated experience developing mobile applications for iOS and/or Android to be eligible for this post.
- They must have experience in writing code using object-oriented software design methodologies, design patterns and best practices.
- Candidates working in this post are appointed for the understanding of iterative, agile development methods, processes and techniques such as Scrum.
- They must attain the ability to work in a cross-functional DevOps environment to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have strong customer focus coupled with the ability to operate effectively in an energetic, fast-paced business environment.
- Candidates must provide a high level of customer service to internal and external guests to be eligible for this post.
