Job description
- Support and improve preventative maintenance programs for HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as filter changes, cleaning and system checks
- Inspect boilers and related equipment
- Record system condition and suggest corrective actions
- Respond to service requests for their heating and cooling and refrigeration systems.
- Identify system problems and execute necessary system repairs through their work on equipment and parts.
- Assess system drawings to develop system design recommendations based on their expertise.
- Execute system upgrades and building renovations and operational project work.
- Follow safety regulations and building standards to verify that they meet all compliance requirements.
Job requirements
- Completed 4 year Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyperson
- Certificate or Red Seal equivalent
At least 48 months of related post ticket - HVAC and refrigeration background
- Valid Class 5 Driverโs License with acceptable record
- Gasfitter A ticket, sheet metal certification or 5th class power engineering certificate are assets
- Must pass enhanced security clearance and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and provide proof of qualifications
