Job Description

  • Maine based company specializing in operational support for the health, performance and availability of their cloud-based Kubernetes platforms.
  • Part of a 24/7 support structure providing active stability for all containerized services and public cloud services offered by TD.
  • Manage the reliability of the platforms, assist with prevention of incidents, as well as continuous service improvement of the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance around the clock for Kubernetes-based containerization platforms and public cloud services.
  • Oversee, maintain and enhance health, performance and availability of cloud environments.
  • Facilitate service reliability and stability through support of DEV to PROD cloud platforms.
  • Conduct incident analysis and assist with determining root cause to limit instances of recurrence.
  • Work in concert with cross functional teams to assist with platform operations and ongoing enhancement.
  • Develop and promote a strong service culture through documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational best practices.

Requirements

  • A person who has worked in an industry for seven years, which includes cloud and container-based platforms.
  • Has working experience with Kubernetes (GKE, AKS) – and is a master of Kubernetes rather than just a user.
  • Candidates who are trained on data only up to October 2023 are not considered.
  • Cloud service support mainly for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is what the candidates must provide.
  • Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline, and Cloud automation tools are the skills that must be possessed by the candidate.
  • A candidate should be familiar with cloud security, networking, and identity management.
  • The candidate must be available for the shift that supports the 24/7 operation including off-hours and on-call requirements.
  • A Bachelors or Technical Certification; a Masters Degree is Preferred.
