Job Description
- A safety job with a strong emphasis on workplace health and employee well-being.
- Within Amazon Fulfillment in a high-volume environment.
- A key driver of safety culture and launching safety programmes.
- A hands-on position that entails lots of physical activity throughout the shift.
- This position has a highly variable schedule with both day and night shifts as well as weekend availability.
- Hours of work, not more than 40 hours all the time out of the entire duration of work.
Responsibilities
- Accidents are examined, and main reasons are found.
- Perform daily safety audits, inspection, and risk assessment from beginning to end.
- Safety training is given, and safe working habits are encouraged.
- Be a safety champion for employees and management.
- Safety statistics are analyzed, and actions for improvement are suggested.
- Helping in emergency responses as well as safety compliance duties.
- Flexible posture. Must lift up to 49 pounds.
- May need to stand/walk for longer 12 hour shifts.
- Can climb, adapt to variable environments, attend flexible shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year in an EHS related field or 6 months work experience with Amazon in any safety related role.
- Familiar with OSHA Regulations (CFR 29 1910).
- Skill in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Able to manage confidential/sensitive employee record information.
- Flexible availability for weekend and night shifts is a must.
- First Aid and CPR certificates.
