- An Investment Advisor with Royal Bank of Canada DS, you will develop a large client base using your strategic ability to combine your knowledge and skills, creating a unique total wealth management solution for every individual client. In addition to developing your client relationships.
- Business Growth: Actively seek out and sell services to clients in order to grow the portfolio of clients.
- Use Royal Bank of Canada Resources: Utilize RBC’s research, products and tools to help clients achieve their investment goals.
- Work Collaboratively: Work with other Royal Bank of Canada business units (Banking, Insurance and Wealth Management) to provide clients with the best solutions for their needs.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Exhibit a focus on developing an entrepreneurial approach to building wealth through investment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and build a client base comprising of affluent individuals, multiple generations of affluent individuals and wealthy business owners, and non-profit organizations.
- Provide a systematic approach to managing client’s investment and/or wealth management based on client’s objectives with Investment Management and Wealth Management for Affluent Individuals and Families.
- Establish a trusted, long-lasting, multi-generational relationship with clients based on customized approaches to wealth building and investing.
- Establish an ongoing proactive process to attract new clients using outbound functions and also, through your business development.
- Work with multiple layers within the wealth continuum including complex financial matters, including, but not limited to, Investment Management and Wealth Management, and many other areas of wealth building.
- Build and strengthen your own Independent Wealth Management Practice following all compliance rules and regulations.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in outbound sales or business development, with proven ability to thrive in commission-based environments.
- Desire to establish a long-term career as an Investment Advisor.
- Willingness to invest considerable time and effort to create a successful practice.
- Fluent in both English and French.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Related business or direct marketing experience.
- History of successful high-value sales and relationship building.
- Completion of CPH, Financial Planner Diploma, or CIM designation
