Job Description
- The candidate must direct farm feed inventory activities.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
- The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
- The candidate must formulate feeding programs.
- The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
- The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The ability to communicate in Vietnamese is an asset for the candidate.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
Work site environment
- The type of farm operation is hog and pig farming.
- The candidate must work in dusty environments.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
- The candidate should work from a remote location; the practice of employees doing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
