Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Previous experience is not mandatory.
  • The candidate will be required to read and interpret work orders.
  • The candidate will be expected to conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • The candidate will be required to operate metal cleaning equipment such as wheelabrators, deburrers and shotblasters to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings and other metal products
  • The candidate will be required to polish metal products to mirror finish
  • The candidate will be required to immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
  • The candidate will be required to assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metalworking machine operators or other metal workers
  • The candidate will be required to transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or using hoists or other devices
  • The candidate will be required to sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
  • The candidate will be required to clean work areas and equipment
  • The candidate will be required to load and unload vehicles using hand truck or dolly
  • The candidate will be required to cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • The candidate will be required to follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
  • The candidate will be required to align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instrument.
  • The candidate will be required to clean and smoothes welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
  • The candidate will be required to report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.
  • The candidate will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • The candidate will be expected to follow state and company safety regulations.
  • The candidate must be skilled with metal fabrication tools such as shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
  • The candidate will be required to notify supervisor of quality and tolerance issues.
  • The candidate will be required to check parts using approved tools from quality control
  • The candidate should have good interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature and have the ability to adapt to change.
  • The candidate should be punctual.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
