Job Description

  • As a Financial Planning Analyst with the Royal Bank of Canada, you will be tasked with developing all-encompassing strategies related to tax, retirement, and estate planning for our clientele utilizing custom-made Royal Bank of Canada financial planning tools.
  • Your role requires you to utilize these tools and provide customers with in-depth retirement, taxation, and estate planning strategies.
  • You will work in a supportive team environment and promote a workplace that is engaged with diversity across the Family Office Service Group.
  • Regularly maintain and enhance client “Compass” financial plans.
  • You will work closely with Financial Planning Specialists in each community to ensure that you provide integrated and complete planning solutions.
  • This position is located at the Royal Bank of Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is a full-time, on-site position within the Wealth/Family Office platform of the Royal Bank of Canada.
  • You will participate in a seamless customer experience by having centralized and regionalized support for your work.

Responsibilities

  • Create personal financial plans based on the Client’s unique needs, short and long-term goals.
  • Review each Client’s present-day situation and develop a customized plan for each.
  • Stay up-to-date with current financial planning standards and regulatory requirements, as well as the current industry practices for wealth management.
  • Provide feedback and participate in developing projects that improve the services provided to the Clients.
  • Provide training and coaching to other Professionals within Royal Bank of Canada regarding all aspects of Wealth Management.

Requirements

  • CFP or PFP certification.
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Canadian tax system.
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial planning.
  • Familiarity with Conquest financial planning software.
