Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for the cattle exhibition.
- The candidate will be responsible for cattle training.
- The candidate must groom farm animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for greenhouse cleaning.
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for livestock branding.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate will be responsible for weaning.
- The candidate must feed and care for animals.
- The candidate must milk cows.
- The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
- The candidate will be responsible for installing and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
- The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
- The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
- The candidate will be responsible for selecting livestock to sell.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, broiler and other meat-type chicken production, chicken farming, goat farming, layer poultry farming, sheep farming, turkey breeding, turkey farming, poultry and egg production, livestock, and horse breeding.
- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
- The candidate must be able to work in cold/refrigerated conditions.
