Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be in charge of soil fertility programmes.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • The candidate will be expected to inspect the product for quality and prepare it for market.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

  • Farm operations include oilseed (except soybean) farming, other grain farming, wheat farming, and grain, oil, and forage crop farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

  • Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.

Experience and Specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with a combine harvester, farm truck, fertiliser applicator, forage equipment, loader, planting equipment, seed drill, sprayer or duster, tillage equipment, and tractor.

Product inspection experience

  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience inspecting grains.

Automated systems experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with storage and silage systems.
