Job Description
- The candidate will be required to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps.
- The candidate will be required to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
- The candidate will be in charge of mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- The candidate will be in charge of loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- The candidate will be required to use a rake and shovel to level the earth to fine grade specifications.
- The candidate will be in charge of erecting and deconstructing concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- The candidate will be required to assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools.
- The candidate will be in charge of paving and raking asphalt.
- The candidate will be required to clean and pile salvaged materials.
- The candidate will be required to assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Previous experience is not mandatory.
- The candidate should be flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate must able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Equipment and Machinery Experience
- The candidate must have experience using small front end loaders, sledgehammers, mortar and concrete mixers, jackhammers, drills, concrete saws, concrete vibrators, compactors, chippers, chain saws, belt cutters, air compressors, bobcats, reciprocating saws, circular saws, air guns, nail guns, torches, augers, grouting machines, and grinding machines.
Own Tools/Equipment
- The candidate will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.
Work Site Environment
- The candidates will be required to work in confined spaces.
- The candidate should be prepared to work under dangerous work conditions.
- The candidate should be willing to work in an outdoor environment for long hours.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty environments.
- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
