Job Description

  • The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
  • The candidate must direct agricultural crop deleafing activities.
  • The candidate must follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology, and cover crops.
  • The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
  • The candidate must implement soil fertility programs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activities of clearing the fields.
  • The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
  • The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
  • The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
  • The candidate must supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
  • The candidate must hire and train staff.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
  • The candidate must schedule work assignments.
  • The candidate must manage staff and assign duties.
  • The candidate must resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • The candidate must maintain equipment and supplies.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of three months to less than one year.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
