Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are accountable for performing minor repairs including replacement of gearboxes, sprockets, chains, and door panels.
  • People accountable at this post perform visual inspections of buildings to maintain Building Code standards working at this post.
  •  They’re also accountable at this post to ensure all work is completed safely and complies with applicable industry standards.
  • People who apply for this post are required to perform other facility-related duties as requested.
  • Candidates are accountable to be team-oriented individuals with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self-directed working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must be able to work under pressure and must be able to work shifts, including weekends & participate in on-call rotation.
  • They must attain the ability to install, maintain, repair, dismantle, and reassemble machinery.
  • Applicants must attain the ability to use welding equipment, hand, and power tools as necessary to be eligible for this post.
  • They must possess a valid DVS and must possess a valid Driver’s licence with a clean abstract to be considered as an asset for this post.
  •  People accountable for this post must possess an Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal.

Work setting 

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of field experience along with prior knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, and CMMS to be eligible for this post.
  • People applying for this post must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location to be considered as an asset for this post.
