Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are accountable for performing minor repairs including replacement of gearboxes, sprockets, chains, and door panels.
- People accountable at this post perform visual inspections of buildings to maintain Building Code standards working at this post.
- They’re also accountable at this post to ensure all work is completed safely and complies with applicable industry standards.
- People who apply for this post are required to perform other facility-related duties as requested.
- Candidates are accountable to be team-oriented individuals with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self-directed working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must be able to work under pressure and must be able to work shifts, including weekends & participate in on-call rotation.
- They must attain the ability to install, maintain, repair, dismantle, and reassemble machinery.
- Applicants must attain the ability to use welding equipment, hand, and power tools as necessary to be eligible for this post.
- They must possess a valid DVS and must possess a valid Driver’s licence with a clean abstract to be considered as an asset for this post.
- People accountable for this post must possess an Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal.
Work setting
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of field experience along with prior knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, and CMMS to be eligible for this post.
