Indian Masala Bistro based in Whistler, BC, is looking for candidates for the position of Cook with 2 vacancies. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work as soon as possible. Indian Masala Bistro has an approved Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill labor or skills shortages on a temporary basis. Job description

The candidate will be required to train staff in preparation and cooking of food.
The candidate will be required to train staff in handling of food.
The candidate will be required to supervise kitchen staff.
The candidate will be required to take note of the helpers.
The candidate will be required to manage kitchen operations.
The candidate will be required to inspect kitchens.
The candidate will be required to look after food service areas.
The candidate will be required to clean kitchen and work areas.
The candidate will be required to maintain inventory and records of food and supplies.
The candidate will be required to maintain inventory and records of equipment.
The candidate will be required to prepare and cook complete meals.
The candidate will be required to prepare individual dishes and foods.
The candidate will be required to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
The Work Setting is a Restaurant.
The working environment will be in an Urban area.

Requirements

The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
The candidate should have an experience of at least 1 year to less than 2 years.
The candidate should specialize in East Indian cuisine.
The candidate should have a Bondable done.
The candidate should have a thorough Criminal record check done.
The candidate should have interpersonal awareness.
The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
