Climate Action Associate

Job Description 

  • Applicants at this post are responsible for program/initiative delivery support within the Climate Action team, including project management of programs and initiatives working at this post. 
  • They’re also appointed at this post to assist the team with procurement and partnership development, contributing to the drafting of agreements/contracts with partners. 
  • They’re also required at this post to achieve a smooth program implementation and effective communication of goals and processes.
  • Applicants are also required to provide departmental support related to financial forecasting, and reporting on departmental projects working at this post. 
  • Candidates are appointed at this post to collaborate with and provide data and analysis to support external stakeholder relationship management activities and strategies. 

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have bachelor/ undergraduate degrees in environmental science, public policy etc. To be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates who have completed post-graduation degrees are preferred for this post. 
  • They must have 3 years of relevant professional experience preferably in climate action, conservation programs or the electricity industry. 
  • Applicants must acquire a certificate/ diploma in Climate/Sustainability along with a solid understanding of the role of the electricity system in mitigating climate change to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must provide strong project coordination, contract management, and report writing skills to be preferred for this post. 
  • They must have strong customer orientation and excel at working in a team environment. 

Work setting 

  • Applicants must have a prior understanding of business development and procurement processes. 
  • They must have dedicated experience with grant writing and program business case development to be preferred for this post.
