Job Description
- The candidate must prepare patients for dental examinations.
- The candidate must order dental and office supplies.
- The candidate must prepare dental instruments and filling materials.
- The candidate must maintain and order supplies.
- The candidate must perform reception and clerical duties.
- The candidate must sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
- The candidate must educate patients about oral hygiene.
- The candidate must schedule and confirm appointments.
- The candidate must perform intra-oral duties.
- The candidate must document dental procedures performed on patients.
- The candidate will be responsible for billing patients for dental services.
- The candidate must take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months or less than 1 year.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be a member of the Canadian Dental Assistants Association, registered with provincial or territorial authorities, and certified by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board.
