The candidate must be available to work early morning, morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as be available on call.

Job Description

  • The candidate must operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing passengers with information about fares, schedules, and stops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for collecting fares and recording transactions.
  • The candidate must report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
  • The candidate must operate para-transit vehicles.
  • The candidate must ensure that para-transit passengers board the vehicle safely.
  • The candidate must deal with the public.
  • The candidate must complete logbooks and reports.
  • The candidate must deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • The candidate must communicate with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using two-way radio systems.
  • The candidate must ensure the children’s safety when they board and leave the bus, and when they cross the street while the driver stops the bus.
  • The candidate must maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviours that could compromise safety.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.

  • The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • A candidate with experience is an asset.
