Job Description

The candidate will be expected to consult with clients to determine the type, style, and purpose of proposed renovations or new building construction.
The candidate will be in charge of project management.
The candidate will be expected to conceptualise and design buildings, as well as create plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs, and construction timelines.
The candidate will be in charge of construction site supervision.
The candidate must prepare sketches and models.
The candidate will be responsible for architectural research.
The candidate will be required to prepare or supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications, and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespeople.
The candidate will be in charge of staff recruitment and selection.
The candidate will be expected to conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses for construction projects.
The candidate must supervise technologists, technicians, and other architects.
The candidate will be required to estimate costs.
The candidate will be expected to prepare bidding documents, negotiate contracts, and award construction contracts.
The candidate will be in charge of proposal preparation.
The candidate will be in charge of writing specifications.
The candidate will be in charge of interior design (general)
The candidate will be expected to monitor construction site activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
The candidate must conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses for building projects.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
The candidate should be accurate.
The candidate should be client focused.
The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
The candidate must be well-organized.
The candidate should be a good team player.

The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

The candidate must be proficient in architectural software programmes as well as AutoCAD.
