Job Description

The candidate will be expected to conceptualise and design buildings, as well as create plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs, and construction timelines.
The candidate will be expected to supervise construction sites.
The candidate must prepare sketches and models.
The candidate must conduct architectural research.
The candidate will be required to prepare or supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications, and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespeople.
The candidate must supervise technologists, technicians, and other architects.
The candidate will be responsible for financial and budget administration.
The candidate will be required to prepare bidding documents, participate in contract negotiations, and award construction contracts.
The candidate will be in charge of proposal preparation.
The candidate will be expected to tender and manage contracts.
The candidate will be expected to monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications.
The candidate will be expected to conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of construction projects.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate will be expected to supervise working groups.
The candidate should be accurate
The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
The candidate must be well-organized.
The candidate should be a good team player.

The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work at heights.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

The candidate must be proficient in Architectural software programs, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, Computer-aided design (CAD), and SketchUp.

Architectural specialization

The candidate must be knowledgeable about public buildings, new construction, site inspections, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential construction.
