Ash Apiaries Ltd., producers of Sunshine Valley Honey and Honey Buzz energy drink is located in scenic Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. The fertile plains and rolling hills of our part of the world produce excellent agricultural crops, and some of the tastiest honey you will find anywhere. Gilbert Plains is a small rural community located in the Parkland Region of Manitoba approximately 360 km northwest of Manitoba’s capital city, Winnipeg. Our location is nestled in the valley between Riding Mountain National Park to the south and Duck Mountain Provincial Park to the north.

Ash Apiaries Ltd based in Gilbert Plains, MB, is looking for candidates for the position of Apiary Worker with 15 vacancies. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work from 2022-02-01. Ash Apiaries Ltd has an approved Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill labour or skills shortages on a temporary basis. The vacancies refer to that of seasonal employment and a full time job. The shift will extend from early morning to morning to evening and day, the candidate may also be required to work in the weekend and overtime.

Job description

• The candidate should have skills in Apiary work.
• The candidate should have experience to operate automated honey extractor.
• Work Location is in Rural area and Various locations.
• The candidate will have to harvest honey and honey bees.
• The candidate will have to take care of detection and treatment of bee diseases.
• The candidate will have to work in a honey farm.
• The candidate will have to have knowledge of bee biology.
• Work Site Environment is Outdoors; Wet/damp; Hot.

Requirements

• The candidate does not require any degree, certificate or diploma for this job.
• The candidate should have equivalent experience in the concerned field.
• The candidate should have an experience of at least 1 year to less than 2 years
• The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination.
• The candidate should have clarity of judgement.
• The candidate should be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
• The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
• The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
• The work will involve a combination of bending, crouching and kneeling which the candidate should be comfortable with.
• The candidate should show flexibility.
• The candidate should be able to handle weight.
• The candidate should be dependable.
