Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for calving.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weaning.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must feed and care for animals.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate must perform agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.

  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, hay farming, livestock combination farming, other grain farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, wheat farming, and livestock farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work setting

  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
  • The candidate’s relocation expenses will not be covered by the employer.
  • The work environment includes equipment operation.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience operating a Combine harvester, Farm truck, Forage equipment, Haying equipment, Loader, Manure spreader, Planting equipment, Seed drill, Swather, Tillage equipment, Tractor, Harvesters, Hand tools, and Forklift.

Automated systems experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with a feeding and watering system, as well as a storage and silage system.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about beef cattle.
