Responsibilities
- Conduct client interviews and prepare concise letters summarizing the advice discussed.
- Accompany advisors to client/prospect seminars and network with estate planning professionals both inside and outside the company.
- Monitor changes in the law, policies, and risk management issues that are relevant to your area.
- Spot new business and referral chances for Royal Bank of Canada Financial Group.
- Do your part to create a team atmosphere that facilitates client service being delivered without interruptions.
- Keep track of your activities and the results in an accurate manner.
- Work together with the advisors to point out the clients that fit best.
Plan the follow-up actions that will be taken after the interviews with the clients by the internal/external consultants.
Be in touch with the business unit strategies and client offerings.
Requirements
- A Law Degree from a Canadian University and a bar admission in a Canadian province or territory.
- Over five years of experience with a strong grasp of wills, estates, trusts, and related tax planning.
- Adequate knowledge of the insurance products that are used in estate planning.
- Knowledge of the common law related to wills, estates, and trusts at an advanced level.
- Driver’s license that is not expired.
- Experience in administration of estate and trust.
- Familiarity with insurance planning solutions.
- Membership in STEP.
