Job description:

• • The candidate will be required to read and interpret welding specifications.
  • The candidate will be required to read and interpret drawings specifications.
  • The candidate will be required to read and interpret manuals.
  • The candidate will be required to read and interpret processes.
  • The candidate will be required to examine welds.
  • The candidate will be  required to ensure that welds meet standards and/or specifications.
  • The candidate will be required to work in industrial work settings.
  • The candidate will be required to work with stainless steel.
  • The candidate will be required to work with aluminium alloy.
  • The candidate will be required to work with steel.
  • The candidate will be required to work with iron.
  • The candidate will be required to work with heavy metals.

Requirements:

• The candidate should have 7 months to less than 1 year experience.
• The candidate should know English.
• The candidate should have Welder Trade Red Seal  Certification.
• The candidate should have Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• The candidate should have first period apprentice.
• The candidate should have second period apprentice.
• The candidate should have third period apprentice.
• The candidate should have fourth period apprentice.
• The candidate should have specialization on pressure vessels.
• The candidate should have specialization on machinery or equipment repair.
• The candidate should have specialization on truck-trailer repair.
• The candidate should have knowledge of welding techniques like Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG).
• The candidate should have knowledge of welding techniques like Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
• The candidate should have knowledge of welding techniques like Gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
• The candidate should have own equipments like Steel-toed safety boots.
• The candidate should have own equipments like tools.
• The candidate should have a drug test for safety and security.
• The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
• The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods.
• This job will be physically demanding and will have to do repetitive tasks.
• The candidate should have eye-hand coordination.
