Job Description

• The candidate must be capable of loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must ship orders.
• The candidate will be responsible for picking orders and stock.
• The candidate must create labels and attach them to goods.
• The candidate must provide excellent customer service.
• The candidate must wrap goods.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must transport and distribute materials and goods.
• The candidate must organize and keep inventory.
• The candidate will be responsible for organizing inventories using computerized inventory control systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have no supervisory responsibilities.
• The candidate must have Forklift Operator Certification.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty and wet/damp conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate will be required to work in various locations.
• The candidate must work in a warehouse, as well as a retail/wholesale establishment or distribution centre.

Experience and specialization

Vehicle and equipment experience

• The candidate must have experience operating light trucks, hoists or winches, and loaders.

Area of specialization

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about shipping, and receiving.

•  The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check, an abstract driving record check, and a basic security clearance.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have their own transportation.
• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate has access to public transportation.

• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
