Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing an assigned department within the facility.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing the operational performance results of their assigned department.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Senior Operations Manager and/or General Manager in creating and implementing departmental operating and strategic plans while driving continuous improvements.
- The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of talent management for salaried and hourly direct reports, including hiring, training, annual reviews, performance management, development, coaching, engagement, off boarding, and rewards and recognition.
- The candidate will be responsible for partnering with Health and Safety, Asset Protection, and People and Culture to address employee concerns within their department that require escalation.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading weekly and monthly labor and workforce planning for their department.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring their department maintains the right supply levels at the right time.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining effective communication flow to their supervisors and department.
- The candidate will be responsible for effective collaboration with all support teams, including Health and Safety, Asset Protection, People and Culture, Engineering, IT, Logistics, Network Strategy, Quality, and Labor Planning.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading large-scope strategic initiatives and projects within their respective department.
- The candidate will be responsible for approving termination decisions involving hourly employees in partnership with People and Culture.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting health and safety and labor compliance across the building while ensuring departmental compliance.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting employee engagement initiatives across the building while ensuring strong engagement within their department.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting 3PL relationship management where applicable.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing insight and support to the Site Leader with AOP (Annual Operation Planning) for the department.
- The candidate will be responsible for partnering with DC Workforce Administrators to verify and approve timekeeping for hourly direct reports, including attendance tracking.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of DC budget targets for their department.
- The candidate will be responsible for championing and leading through lululemon’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action) initiatives and values.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must possess 8–10 years of leadership experience in a Distribution Center or similar environment, preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
- The candidate must possess at least 5 years of direct people management experience overseeing hourly employees.
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or possess equivalent relevant on-the-job experience.
- The candidate must demonstrate experience using automation or MHE (material handling equipment).
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- The candidate must be proficient with a Warehouse Management System and Labor Management System.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with team members and business partners both verbally and in writing.
- The candidate must demonstrate proven experience leading and implementing process improvements.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks effectively.
- The candidate must be able to travel 1–3 times per year as required.
- The candidate must be able to meet scheduling needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- The candidate must be flexible and adaptable with scheduling requirements, including nights, required holidays, weekends, occasional after-hours work, and overtime.
