Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for grading.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must perform vegetable culling.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for sorting and packing fruits and vegetables.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
• The candidate must have a Pesticide Applicator licence and Forklift Operator Certification.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The type of farm operation is potato and vegetable farming.

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

• The crops are potatoes.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have prior experience operating a farm truck, loader, planting equipment, tillage equipment, tractor and forklift.

Automated systems experience

• The candidate must have prior experience with automated irrigation systems.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate does not have access to public transportation.
