Job Description
- The candidate must plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- The candidate must maintain professionalism in customer service.

- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.

- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.

- The candidate must have experience operating refrigerated trucks, straight trucks (4,600 kg / 10,000 lbs+ with 3+ axles), and tractor-trailers.
Communication systems experience
- The candidate must have experience using Citizens Band (CB) radios, operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, and using a trip recorder (on-board computer).
Transportation/travel experience
- The candidate must have both long-haul and short-haul travel experience.
- The candidate must have transportation and travel experience at provincial/territorial levels.
