Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and locating equipment faults, as well as adjusting, replacing, or repairing telecommunications equipment.
  • The candidate must inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for installing, arranging, removing, and maintaining telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • The candidate will be responsible for repairing or replacing defective telephone equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for testing installed telephone systems to identify transmission faults.
  • The candidate must analyze test results and adjust, modify, or repair the switching system, network, associated equipment, and software.
  • The candidate must complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • The candidate must determine the nature, cause, and location of the trouble.
  • The candidate will be responsible for installing electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
