Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for performing advanced-level technical field survey work on large and complex projects.
- The candidate will be responsible for operating Total Stations, GPS, and related equipment in pre-construction, construction, as-constructed, mapping, legal, and topographical surveys.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and direction of Survey Assistants’ work.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must demonstrate a strong team-player attitude.
- The candidate should possess 2–5 years of experience in a related field.
- The candidate should possess a diploma in Geomatics or a related area of study or be in the process of obtaining one.
- The candidate must have experience in advanced-level technical field survey work, preferably in a surveying environment.
- The candidate must have hands-on experience operating a variety of surveying equipment.
- The candidate must possess strong computer skills.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The candidate must have successfully completed the 12th school grade.
- The candidate should have completed courses in surveying.
- The candidate must have sound experience in municipal survey work, legal survey work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- The candidate must possess a valid BC driver’s licence or an equivalent licence.
- The candidate should be registered with the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC or have the ability to register, as this will be considered an asset.
