Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are required to assist in completing calculations to determine grades, curves, co-ordinates or cross-section profiles working at this post. 
  • Candidates for this post are required to direct and manage projects when the Geomatics Tech. is not available. 
  • Candidates for this post are required to use common labouring tools such as pick, shovel, and axe, during performance of surveying tasks to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates working in this post are required to follow all rules and regulations as set out in the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and the City of Regina Occupational Health and Safety Manual.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain a dedicated knowledge of the elementary principles, practices and equipment involved in surveying to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must acquire knowledge of the general rules and regulations of the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • They must attain the ability to follow all safety regulations as set out in the sections or department to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have dedicated knowledge of mathematics and trigonometry as applied to municipal surveys to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have dedicated skills in the use and care of surveying equipment to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have the ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates for this post must be able to interpret engineering plans and specifications. 
  • Candidates must have 2 years of experience in a municipal engineering environment to be eligible for this post.
