Job Description
- The Support Engineer position focuses on working directly with systems which require support, as well as resolving any technical issues reported by our customers.
- As part of this role, support engineers will analyze and resolve issues across several different Products and Service Lines.
- This is a full-time position with normal hours and is aligned with the significant contribution of the Support Engineer within the context of a global business.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for several different types of products and services.
- Complete operational and maintenance coding projects, primarily written in Java.
- Assist in the release process of software in both staging and production environments.
- Create new tools to increase efficiency with support and maintenance of the system.
- Work closely with Engineering teams to troubleshoot problems and increase the knowledge base.
Requirements
- Must possess at least four years of real-world experience in either building or providing assistance for software applications.
- Should have experience working with contemporary scripting and programming languages when dealing with software-related challenges.
- Excel as a member of an agile or scrum development team that values teamwork.
- Must have experience investigating problems, documenting results and solutions in a clear manner.
- May have worked on large-scale distributed applications, whether on the server or client sides.
- Should have experience interacting with UNIX/Linux servers as well as with RESTful API technologies.
